Volume 3 Overview

Unit 9: Jesus Christ, Immanuel, God with Us   (5 weeks/lessons of curriculum available. Use 1,2,3,4 or all 5.)

  • We are all sinners who deserve God’s punishment for rebelling against Him and His good ways. God sent His Son Jesus to be our Savior. On the cross He offered up His perfect life. He suffered and died in the place of God’s people, taking the punishment for their sins. He rose up from the grave on the third day, proving He had really done it. Now all who turn from their sins and trust in Jesus as their Savior can be God’s people. They will know God in their heart in this life; and one day, when they die, they will go to live with Him in heaven forever. In this unit we will be learning about what Jesus did to bring us to God.

Unit 10: The Holy Spirit, the Indwelling God   (5 weeks/lessons of curriculum available. Use 1,2,3,4 or all 5.)

  • The Bible tells us that God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is three Persons, but just one God. God, the Holy Spirit, carries out God’s plans–especially God’s plans to work inside His people and change their hearts. The Holy Spirit is God’s wonderful gift to His people! He is their helper and their comforter. He helps them know and love God. He helps them live for Him. In this unit, we will learn about the wonderful things that the Holy Spirit does inside of God’s people.

Unit 11: The God Who Saves   (5 weeks/lessons of curriculum available. Use 1,2,3,4 or all 5.)

  • God made us. He wants us to know what He is like so we can know Him, love Him, and praise Him. God shows us what He is like. How? By the heart He gave us to know and love Him; through everything He’s made that we see around us; through His Word, the Bible; and most of all, through His very own Son, Jesus Christ. In this unit, we will learn about God’s amazing gift of salvation that He offers to us.

Unit 12: God’s People Live for Him   (5 weeks/lessons of curriculum available. Use 1,2,3,4 or all 5.)

  • We become God’s people when we turn away from our sins and trust in Jesus as our Savior. When we do, God forgives our sins and we begin a whole new way of life. God’s people no longer live life just to please themselves. They want to honor God with their whole lives, like Jesus did. They seek to love God most of all and love all people, too.. In this unit, we will learn how God’s people live for God.

Volume 2 Overview

Unit 5: God, the Good Creator   (5 weeks/lessons of curriculum available. Use 1,2,3,4 or all 5.)

  • In the beginning, God created everything. And when He did, He created all things good and for His glory. In this unit, we will be learning about what good things God made.

Unit 6: God, the Just and Merciful    (5 weeks/lessons of curriculum available. Use 1,2,3,4 or all 5.)

  • When God created the world in the beginning, He created all things good. But now there are many terrible things in God’s good world. All these bad things came through sin when we rebelled against God. In this unit, we will learn how bad things came through sin and how God treated sinners with justice, and yet also, with such great mercy.

Unit 7: The Law-Giving God   (5 weeks/lessons of curriculum available. Use 1,2,3,4 or all 5.)

  • God is our Creator and our king. He gave us good laws to live by. God commands us to keep His laws. They are how He wants us to live because they reflect His righteousness: His perfect love, goodness and fairness. And, they are the best way for us to live. God’s laws are wonderful, but none of us obey them as we should since we are all sinners. We will always need a Savior to please God. We will never be able to do it by keeping God’s laws on our own. God, Himself, provided us that Savior– His Son, Jesus! In this unit, we will learn about God and His good laws.

Unit 8: The God Who Loves   (5 weeks/lessons of curriculum available. Use 1,2,3,4 or all 5.)

  • God knew and loved His people even before the world began. He knew they were sinners who would rebel against Him; and still, He loved them. So from right then, even before the beginning, He always planned to care for them and to save them from their sins through Jesus. He always planned to work in their hearts by His Holy Spirit so they would love Him and want to live for Him. He always planned to bring them home to live with Him in heaven forever. In this unit, we will learn why God’s love for His people is so great that it’s more than they could ever deserve.
