The Praise Factory is a six year, multi-age children’s systematic theology curriculum for elementary school children. It is comprised of 104 key biblical truths -- called "Big Ideas"-- divided into 16 units, common to a systematic theology. These biblical truths expand the children’s understanding of the same 12 big questions and answers used in the two preschool curriculums and add four additional big questions and answers. Within each 3-week Big Idea, there is an Old Testament, New Testament and Church History/Missions story presented. Each week’s curriculum includes 8 different activities to reinforce the Big Idea concept and story.

Step 1: Choose your Activities

With 10 different activities for three weeks of curriculum, the curriculum for each Big Idea is long!

Before printing out the curriculum, decide which elements you want to use. You may choose to use them all; or, you may choose to use only some of them. Here are some suggestions to help you.

I plan to use the Large group/Small group format, as the curriculum suggests

Decide how many small groups you will use and pick your activities for those groups . It is always a good idea to make the Drama group one of your weekly activities!

I plan to use a Combined Class format, with everyone doing a variety of the activities as one group

Decide how many activities you can do within your alloted session time and print those out.

We don't have enough children to have 8 small groups. Is there anyway to combine the activities to fit less small groups?

Yes! Combine the songs (Hymn and Scripture Song) into a single group and the games groups (Story Review, Scripture Verse Game, Big Idea) into a single group. A teacher can then choose between songs/between games, according to which he thinks better for his group.

Step 2: Download your Curriculum and Familiarize Yourself with the Layout

How is a Big Idea laid out?

Every Big Idea is laid out in the same format: Big Idea General Resources, followed by Week 1, Week 2 and Week 3 resources.

Big Idea General Resources

General Resources include resources used in all three weeks of a Big Idea. These include resources such as the Big Idea Overview, Big Idea Concept and Scripture Verse Signs, Music and Sign Language used, the VIPP Prayer Letter, and the Take Home Sheet.

Week 1, Week 2, Week 3 Resources

The resources that are specific to each week are found here. This includes resources such as the Session Overview, the story, discussion questions and the craft instructions..

How can I navigate through a Big Idea file easily? PDF Bookmarks! Each pdf file has bookmarks of key resources and sections. Simply click on a bookmark and it will take you to that point in the file.
Step 3: Print Out Your Curriculum
What is the printing format for the curriculum files? The pages to this document are formatted as a double-sided document. Follow your printer's instruction for proper printing of this format.
